1. Data on your phone
Your journal, photos, scan reports, conversations, starter schedule, bake plans and settings are saved only on your device. You have two ways to remove them.
Delete items inside Zymo
- Open a journal entry, scan or conversation and delete it.
- Deleting a scan removes its report and the saved photo from the app.
Delete everything by removing the app
- 1Cancel any active subscription first. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- 2Press and hold the Zymo icon, then choose Remove app (iPhone) or Uninstall (Android).
- 3If you use iCloud or Google backup, your phone's backup may still hold a copy of the app's data. Delete that backup in your device settings if you want it gone.
2. Data on our servers
We do not store your journal, photos or conversations. Here is what we do hold, and what removal involves:
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Scan photos and reports | Deleted automatically, within 24 hours at most. Nothing for you to do. |
| Installation record (random ID, usage counts, subscription status) | Deleted when you ask us to. |
| Analytics events and first-run recording (PostHog) | Deleted when you ask us to, as far as we can match them to you. |
| Purchase records | Kept by Apple, Google and Adapty for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We cannot erase these. |
How to ask us
We do not hold your name or email address, so we cannot look you up by them. The order number, device model and dates help us find your record without asking for more personal information. If we cannot match a request to any record, we will tell you that, and it usually means we hold nothing about you.
Deleting the installation record removes your usage history and subscription link on our side. If you reinstall Zymo later, it starts fresh with a new installation ID. To keep Pro, use Restore on the Zymo Pro screen.
3. Subscriptions are separate
Removing data does not cancel Zymo Pro. Cancel in your store account: on iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions. The subscription terms have details.
